Product Details
I. Product Information
This product is a novel, modified organic silicone rigid three-dimensional waterproofing material designed for construction applications. It appears as a colorless, transparent or pale yellow liquid and primarily consists of methyl silicate. Its highly effective waterproofing mechanism involves the formation of methyl silanol under the influence of water and carbon dioxide. This methyl silanol subsequently undergoes condensation and chemically reacts with building materials, creating an insoluble, waterproof polymer compound several molecules thick on both the surface and within the structure of the material—forming a network-like organic silicone resin film. This resin film offers numerous advantages, including superior waterproofing, anti-seepage, moisture resistance, rust prevention, anti-aging properties, and resistance to contamination. As a result, it can be widely applied in various fields such as cement mortars, gypsum, perlite, reinforced concrete, and waterproof coatings.

III. Application Fields
1. Widely applicable for waterproofing and moisture resistance on smooth surfaces, interior and exterior walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and warehouses, as well as for preventing permeation in reinforced concrete structures.
2. Used in underground civil defense projects: such as tunnels, bridges, dams, subways, large-scale hydropower stations, and water diversion projects, to reduce water erosion and prevent weathering.
3. Suitable for various types of pools, including swimming pools, water purification tanks, sewage ponds, water towers, and more.
IV. Usage Instructions
1. Clean the substrate surface before use, and fill any cracks with putty or cement slurry.
2. Before construction, the substrate surface can be lightly moistened to facilitate absorption.
3. Prepare the silicate solution: Mix the organic silicone water repellent with water at a volume ratio of 1:10 to 1:15.
4. Surface Coating: Clean the substrate thoroughly, repair any cracks, and ensure the surface is clean and firmly adhered before directly applying the silicate water-based waterproofing agent. Since this waterproofing agent stops absorbing water once it dries, apply 3 to 4 continuous coats without any gaps in between. The deeper the penetration, the more effective the waterproofing performance will be. (1 kg of the waterproofing agent can cover nearly 20 square meters.)
5. Waterproof Mortar: Prepare the waterproof mortar by directly mixing ordinary silicate cement with a grade of no less than 425# and medium sand containing less than 3% silt, in a ratio of cement to sand ranging from 1:2.5 to 1:3. After thorough mixing, apply the mortar in layers—starting with a 1 cm-thick first layer. Once the initial coating has set and hardened, promptly proceed with the second layer, also 1 cm thick. Ensure each layer is repeatedly smoothed and compacted until fully even. Pay special attention to shaping the internal and external corners into smooth, rounded arcs. Each layer should maintain a consistent thickness of 1 cm, and the waterproof mortar must undergo standard curing procedures.
6. Construction can be carried out using methods such as soaking, spraying, or brushing with tools like cloths, sponges, brushes, rollers, and sprayers. It can also be incorporated directly into concrete for application.
7. After application, allow the treated surface to air dry naturally. Do not apply a second coat until the first layer is completely dry. If used for protective treatment on stone or tile surfaces, remove excess liquid with a soft cloth within 5–10 minutes after application. Avoid contact with water and allow the surface to cure for at least 24 hours.
8. Theoretical consumption after dilution: Approximately 10–30 m²/L for various types of stone materials, 5–8 m²/L for bricks and tiles, and 5–10 m²/L for plain-finish wall and floor tiles.
V. Precautions
1. Before use, conduct a small-sample concentration test to determine whether this concentration is suitable for your specific application.
2. This product has poor alkali resistance. When applied using wet-setting methods, the highly alkaline cement may compromise the protective layer. Therefore, caution should be exercised when using this product in wet-setting applications that come into direct contact with cement.
3. This product is highly corrosive and must not come into direct contact with skin. If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with water. In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention promptly. Additionally, this product can harm or kill plants, as well as stain or corrode glass, plastics, aluminum, and most metals. Extra caution should be exercised during application, ensuring that nearby plants or objects are protected from the waterproofing agent. When storing for home use, keep it out of reach of children. However, once the brushed surface has dried, the product loses its alkalinity and becomes harmless to humans. It is recommended to wear protective gloves and goggles during application. For outdoor work, avoid inhaling the mist generated by the product. In enclosed spaces, when spraying or creating fog, ensure localized ventilation is in place.
4. If the concentration of the waterproofing agent is too high, excessive spraying occurs, or residual liquid is not wiped off promptly, a small amount of white precipitate may form on the coated surface after drying. If this cannot be thoroughly removed by rinsing with water or wiping, it will need to be scraped off manually.
5. During winter, if the temperature is too low, the product may form a crystalline structure and freeze. Once heated to room temperature, the solution will return to its original transparency without compromising the product's active ingredients, allowing it to remain fully usable.
